I have been playing soccer with Cape Ann Youth Soccer since I could walk. Early on, I split my time between goal and a field position, usually midfield or striker, but transitioned to goalkeeper full time in 8th grade. Around the same time, I started with my private coach Jason Moore. I felt that if my team was going to rely on my goalkeeping skills I needed to work hard to earn my position and win games. Working with Jason has definitely helped me develop my goalkeeping and overall soccer skills.
My freshman year I played soccer at Bishop Fenwick High school at the JV level, I had an injury so missed part of the season. In the summer of 2019, I played goalkeeper for Cape Ann United. Our team made the Mass Tournament of Champions and became the MTOC (State of Massachusetts) Champions for the 2019 season.
In the Fall of 2019, I transferred to Gloucester High School. I have been the starting goalie at Gloucester High School since I started attending the school. In my sophomore year, I earned All-County Honors. We finished 14-6, and made it to the conference finals. I had 4 shutouts in 2019. At the finish of our 2019 season, my team voted me to be a Team Captain.
The 2020 season was a challenging one due to COIVD, we had a limited season with fewer games and no tournament play. Our team was able to pull together and adapt to the new playing environment. During the season, we had a record of 8-2 and I had shut 4 shutouts. I was again, voted to be Captain for my upcoming senior year. I cannot wait for the Fall to arrive so that our High School Season can begin. In the Spring of this year, I will once again be the goalkeeper for the u19 Cape Ann United Soccer team. Our goal is to once again win the state championship.
My intention is to be able to play soccer at the college level. I have a strong work ethic, can work independently, I am nimble, quick. and have a strong desire to win.
I am a National Honor Society nominee and currently have a 3.7 GPA. I work hard in school and intend to continue to work hard in my academic and goalkeeping both for the rest of my high school career and into college.
