Personal Statement
The most important factor that drives my passion and work ethic on the field and makes me unique to other recruits is my soccer heritage. My Iranian grandfather played decades ago for his state’s club team, my father earned a place on the junior national Iranian team as well as my uncle. My father also earned a spot to play on the Iranian national team although opted for the opportunity to study and work in the US. My sister and cousins played college soccer at all levels. I feel compelled to carry on my family soccer legacy and push myself to train hard and be a true student to the game. As my father has always said, “no one is bigger than the game, respect the game”. This motto is why I am so flexible and coachable. I have a nose for the net but have been very effective in defense. Soccer is my passion and I love the art of playing it. When I get on a new team, I learn how to make the most of myself and my position for that team. I may start off new but over time I rise to be recognized as one of the top players. I know I will do the same for my college team as well.
