Personal Statement
I've been playing soccer since I was 5 years old and my dream/goal is to play college soccer. I'm extremely competitive and I'm always working to make myself better, both on the field and in the classroom. I set my personal goals very high and follow that up with dedication, effort, and hard work.
With academics I have selected the hardest honors and AP courses at high schools. My 5.131 GPA (weighted) show my efforts in this area. As sophomore I have taken AP Statistics and have self-studied AP Environmental Science and AP Psychology at the same time, two topics that I have great interest in and hope can further study in college. I've earned Gold and Silver medals on the National Spanish Exam, and I was the the only American Mathematics Contest (AMC) test taker who qualified to take the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AMIE; Top 2.5% of AMC test takers) at my school.
I'm proud that I'm able to find success in the classroom while also playing at the highest level of soccer, which also requires an incredible time commitment. I believe my focus on discipline and hard work has helped me stay at the top of my class while playing the game I love.
I'm excited for the opportunity to play college soccer and continue my academic success at a great school. I hope that I can find a team where my character, hard work, and leadership will allow me to have an immediate impact and support my coach, my team, and my college.
