Personal Statement
My goals as a student-athlete are to play soccer at the collegiate level, but to also get the best education possible to provide a bright future for myself. When looking at colleges, there are are three things that I am looking to see. One of the three, is that they have strong engineering and physical therapy programs as these are my two main degree focus areas (I'd like to combine biomedical engineering (prosthetics development) with physical therapy understanding). The next thing is that I am looking at is their soccer team. A good soccer team is high on my list because I want to compete at the highest level. The third, and final thing, for a school is where it's located. I would prefer to stay close to my home state of Massachusetts but exceptions can always be made. It has always been my dream to play soccer in college and I will work as hard as I can to achieve that goal.
As a player, I know the game and I respect the game. As an incoming freshman, I made my high school varsity team and logged the most minutes on the team as a center back. This past season in my sophomore year, I played the midfield and forward and I was named the league MVP for my league and I was named a Central Massachusetts All-Star by the Lowell Sun and Sentinel and Enterprise. I helped my team make it all the way to districts and we were co-league champions for our league. I logged 9 goals and 9 assists to help my team.
As a club team player for Nashua World Cup soccer in NH, I've played at a regional level, representing NH in the Regional State Cup tournament in 2015 in West Virginia.
I am a physically fit player and I am strong on and off the ball. I am dominant with my left foot and I can deliver perfect long balls, through balls, and passes to my teammates. Being a forward definitely leaves many opportunities to shoot and I took those opportunities whenever possible.
Academically, at the end of my sophomore year, I had a QPA of 3.92 and I am a strong A student. I am taking all honor classes and I am taking AP classes during my junior and senior year.
Outside of school, I've been working since I turned 15 as a youth sports clinic coach at a local sports center and, currently, as a pizza delivery person for C&S Pizza in Pepperell. I love to play ice hockey, golf, skiing, volleyball - and I've even played lacrosse and baseball competitively. I volunteer as a soccer coach for Pepperell Youth Soccer which is our local town league.
