I feel I am a good candidate for collegiate level soccer because I am a very hard worker and have had to persevere through a lot of hardships. For example, my freshmen year of soccer I made the freshmen team, yet all my friends made JV or varsity. I had to persevere and show the coaches I was good enough and toward the end of the season I got pulled up to JV. My second year of high school soccer I made JV and all my friends made varsity and I wasn’t even the captain of the JV team, but once again I persevered and got pulled up to varsity. The third year I made varsity but was told by the coach that I would be a player who was going to be groomed for next year to play center back. After only three games into the season I the coach realized what a big asset I can be on the field and I ended up starting the rest of the season and almost never came off the field. Coming into senior year I was chosen to be the captain of the team. This is one of my greatest accomplishments I have ever had in my life.
