In the fall of 2019, I hope to attend a distinguished university with the intent to major in economics. Ultimately I aim to pursue a career in economics or work within the Federal Government.
I also aspire to play collegiate soccer as a goalkeeper. Over the past 5 years I’ve played soccer at the JV, Varsity, and Premier levels. I have grown from an eager player with a love of the game to a true team player with a good grasp of the technical aspects of goalkeeping as well as the communication and leadership skills necessary to lead my current and recent teams to victories. I have shown proficiency and confidence as a goalkeeper and my coaches and teammates have praised me for my exceptional shot stopping and distribution skills.
Unlike the majority of aspiring collegiate soccer players, my passion for the game developed later in my youth, in 8th grade, when I decided to take up the game year round. This passion, coupled with highly technical and tactical training from accomplished coaches, has advanced my abilities to defend my team against the fiercest competitors.
An intense academic focus also distinguishes me from others. I maintain balance between a dynamic training regimen and an equally demanding academic schedule, which has included 4 advanced placement and 11 honors courses to date. In addition to sustaining honor roll status; I have received academic awards, upheld continuing volunteer commitments and enjoy participation in several non-athletic extracurricular activities.
