Hello coaches,
I would like to take a moment to tell you about myself. My name is Morgyn Muck, I am a 2nd year student at Michigan State University studying Mechanical Engineering. I did not get recruited for Div. 1 sports so I Joined MSU Club Football this last season and added onto my High School stats. I was NCFA All American 2nd Team Kicker. I hope that you can give me a chance and coach me. I have a lot of room for improvement. I am looking to compete as a NCAA Division 1 Kicker or Punter.
I also attended Fowlerville high school where I play three sports including soccer, baseball and football. My main sport is soccer where I play the starting goal keeper for varsity and have been in that role since my sophomore year. During my soccer career so far I have had successes such as securing 5 assists from the keeper position, having over 30 saves in a game and winning the CAAC copper cup with 25 saves in the final game as well as winning All Conference Goal Keeper last year in my junior year and was awarded goalkeeper of the Dansville invitational. Through my high school career I have had to adjust to my growth going from 5'9 in my freshman year to 6'3 in my junior year and a wing span of 6'2. Last year my biggest success was having my coach as well as numerous other coaches come up to me after most of our games and compliment me on my performance. I was not only complimented on my saves but also on my kicking accuracy and long ball distance that has been over 75 yards. While it was nice to hear these compliments it was also uncomfortable as i tend to be a more reserved person off of the field. I work hard to constantly learn and improve both in and out of the game. As a freshman, I moved up to play varsity for a few games, tournaments and districts. During that time I had to work hard to talk loud and direct the field of upperclassmen clearly and concisely while earning their trust and respect. After that year I have found my voice on the field and work hard to be a leader of my team both on and off the field while still being true to myself . I find talking about myself and my accomplishments difficult as it is a team effort.
Upon graduation from high school my goal is to attend college and major in mechanical engineering and to play soccer. What I believe makes me a good candidate is that I will work really hard for my team and be able to test not just my own abilities but also encourage them to test theirs so as a team we can always improve in every way and in any way possible. I have been told that I am a coachable player and I enjoy taking direction and applying new techniques and plays. In addition, I take my academics seriously and work hard to not only keep good grades but to get the most out of my classes. With the present situation of the coronavirus I had passed all of my classes, since I had all high marks, before the stay at home order was given but I have still completed all of my assignments and submitted them to my teachers.
I look forward to talking to you about your school and answering any questions you might have. Please reach out to me or my high school coach, thank you for your time.
