Personal Statement
My goal is to play at the highest level possible while studying international business. I am a good student, currently pursuing the IB diploma. My ACT/SAT scores are not really reflective of my abilities. My weighted GPA is near 3.0 in a really challenging curriculum with an international focus. I had 15 goals and 11 assists for my varsity team this season, all while having the most physical impacts of any other player (one game I tracked 149 impacts, while the next nearest player had 19). I was voted MVP by my teammates and coaches, and also earned all-conference, all-district, all-regionals, and all-state honorable mention. I play club soccer with Mid-City Lions, which is a team from Atlanta, although has many players from around the country. Even though I don't live in Atlanta, I am captain of the team, based on my play, my continuous effort, and my leadership. I have traveled to many places in the world and have seen many different kinds of playing styles. I traveled to Germany and England in June-July 2019 with Mid-City Lions to train and play against Academy and lower division teams. I've played pick-up/street soccer in Ghana, Guatemala, and Honduras. I am athletic, playing varsity level basketball in addition to soccer at my high school. Finally, I am a leader, serving as captain on several different teams throughout my soccer career, as well as serving in a regional athletic leadership program for all four years of my high school.
