Personal Statement
Iker Casillas said, “Most kids dream of scoring the perfect goal. I’ve always dreamed of stopping it.” This has also been my dream. I love performing under pressure in big moments during important games.
I play goalkeeper for the Michigan Jaguars U19 Elite 64 team. I will graduate in 2023 from Northville High School, where I study hard to maintain a high GPA and where I played soccer through my senior year. I was honored to be named Division 1 First Team All-State in my junior year and Second Team All-State in my senior year.
As a goalkeeper, I am known for my mobility and quickness, solid technique, distribution, communication, and leadership. I think my range, foot skills and high soccer IQ make me stand out relative to other goalkeepers.
Prior to Jaguars, I played club soccer for Michigan Rush Northville since I was six years old and benefitted from having outstanding coaches throughout my career. I have also had excellent opportunities to play at a high level outside my local club with the Rush Select National Team (6 years), Michigan ODP (4 years) and a Michigan Rush Super Y team that advanced to the Nationals Final Tournament. With the Rush Select National Team, I traveled internationally to play against some of the best teams in Italy and Costa Rica.
I am excited about the prospect of playing in college while I pursue a pre-medical degree. I am interested in finding the right fit for me of both academics and athletics where I will have the opportunity to play on a highly competitive team.
