Personal Statement
My name is Issac Gibbs, I am a student of Novi High School, MI and of the graduating class of 2021. I am a high achieving Honor Roll student with a 3.9 GPA and a desire to move into the Medical or International Business field after I graduate college. I have a desire to play College Soccer at the highest level possible, I am passionate about playing and have the skill and drive to be at the top. I played Travel Soccer for Vardar in the highest Michigan Division, had 2 years living in Brazil playing in goal for the private school I attended. I have just completed my 2nd year as the #1 Novi Varsity Wildcat goalkeeper having also played 2 years at JV. I was selected to the KLAA All Conference First Team for this 2020 Season & in 2019 I was selected as an All Conference Honorable Mention to the First Team, both years I had an impeccably low goals conceded record. I put 120% into my training, game days are the best and I leave everything on the field. This past season my Varsity Soccer team made it to the State Semi Finals losing in OT (I played the first half and had a shut out, we were up 2-0, coaches decision was to play the No2 goalie second half to allow him to experience the pressure, it was too much for him!) We lost 2-3.
I desire to lead by example and hard work. I am also a starter, Left Wing and Captain for the Novi Varsity Ice Hockey Team, I love this sport too. I am committed to working hard to reach my goals both in College Soccer, Hockey and College Academics. I will succeed!
