I began my soccer career when I was eight years old and have been playing ever since. I started playing for Waterford Magic Soccer Club in the fall of 2012 and have been a part of this club since then. I have also played Varsity soccer for Waterford Kettering High School for the past four years.
One thing I have always loved and appreciated about soccer is its need for precision and strategy. As a centerback, when I am on the field, I am able to view the game and think methodically about each pass and run that should be made. Throughout my soccer career, I have learned many lessons and skills that have helped me on and off the field. Some of these skills include being a coachable athlete, a fast learner, a good communicator, and an open minded leader.
Maintaining a 4.09 weighted grade point average while also playing three sports year round continues to improve my time management skills daily. Beyond soccer, I have also been apart of the Varsity football team as their kicker, Varsity basketball team, and freshman mentoring program at Waterford Kettering High School throughout my high school career. Being a well-rounded student athlete has also enhanced by interpersonal communication skills. I have learned how to effectively convey my perspective to my teammates, while also understanding their point of view.
The opportunity to play colegiate soccer would allow me to improve my soccer skills, continue to grow as a busy student athlete, and become a part of an amazing soccer community.
