Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Liam Topolewski and I am entering 9th grade now.  I signed with Michigan Burn for the 2025 winter and spring season and I will be playing Varsity soccer in the fall for Yale High School.  I finished my 2023-2024 MYSL (Michigan Youth Soccer Leauge) in the fall.  I captained my team to a 2nd place finish with 20 goals and 8 assists finishing with 6 wins and 2 losses.  Then in the spring season I captained my former club Storm 161 to an invincible first place finish with 6 wins and 2 draws.  I scored 18 goals and had 15 assists. I am able anticipate where the ball will be passed to. I am not greedy and I am able to play balls down the wing. My academics are also good.  I hold a 4.0 out of 4.0 GPA.  I won the Ted Stein award - the highest academic honor at my school.  Some things that would make me a good candidate for your team: I am respectful to the coaches, I always want to help out when I can,  I am at the field training or at the track working on my endurance or sprint speed, I always listen to what the coaches have to say and try to implement them whenever I can. This makes me easily coachable. I try to stay away from sweets and things that would keep me from being match fit. Finally, I have a strong mentality and don't get nervous whenever I step up to the penalty spot or when I am one on one with the keeper. I hope to hear from you soon so that further discuss my skills and abilities.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
