Jonathan Bayer '21 Recruiting Profile

Yaya Toure, my favorite player, once said, "I would say that my foremost quality is my generosity." This has always resonated with me because I'm not a selfish player, and my coaches have always admired that about me. To me, the job of a midfielder is to make the forwards look good, and one of my favorite things is when I make a perfectly timed and perfectly placed pass right on to the forward's foot, and I can watch them slot it past the goalie. I want to play soccer in college because I can't imagine doing anything else. I want to major in Sports Management because I want to be a coach someday, and I want to play college soccer so I can learn more about the game so when I do become a coach I can pass on what I have learned. I know that the quality of generosity will serve me well throughout my college and professional career and my life because serving others is always the best way to win.
