Personal Statement
I have worked really hard to get better this year -- I worked my way into the starting line up of my U16 US Soccer Development Academy team at Minnesota Thunder Academy. My twin sister is also a serious soccer player, so soccer is pretty much our family passion. We watch a lot of professional soccer at my house which has helped me refine my own game. I'm a Man City fan.
What I'm looking for in a college - I am interested in attending a school with a strong engineering program and a soccer team that plays a more possessive style of soccer, building from the back. I've read that is the goal of the national program to encourage a more possessive style of play which I agree with. I am looking particularly at schools in the SE United States as that is where my family is relocating to after I graduate H.S. I don't care about the size of the school but I would like to play Division 1 or Division 2 soccer.
Though I am now a forward, up until this year I was a holding midfielder. I'm working hard to find and create space in the attacking third and working to get much stronger on the ball. I'm creative and love the game so I play with passion.
