Ever since i was a kid i have always challenged myself to play at a harder level of soccer, and i always wanted to be a professional soccer player. I'm 17 years old at Century High School in Rochester, MN. I have been selected on varsity since freshmen year, and ever since then i have been playing outside left and right mid, and forward. I'm originally from a small town in Iraq and i grew up loving to play soccer with my friends on the streets barefoot for like 4-5 hours everyday after school.
ever since i started playing soccer as a 6 years old kid i always wanted to play against players that were older, stronger, and faster than me and through out my soccer career i would learn from them and be even better than them. When i first got to the USA being an 11 years old kid , everything seemed to be going the wrong way, i didn't know a word to say in English so obviously making friends was hard for me. All i wanted do was to go back to my hometown and play soccer with my friends on the streets, but thanks to soccer i was able to make a lot of friends. Having a soccer ball at my feet made me forget all the things i was worried about ever since i came here.
Personally i try to play soccer almost everyday because during games or even practices when i do stuff wrong that's when i take a soccer ball and play on my own and learn from those mistakes. After every game it doesn't matter if I did good or bad on that game I always tell myself I need to do better next time. Ever since I was little I always pushed myself to do better at things not just in soccer but at school, and life in general. My goal is to go to college and study health science, play college soccer everyday, and become a professional soccer player.
