Personal Statement
THANKS TO ALL THAT HAVE VIEWED MY PROFILE. I AM OFFICIALLY IN THE TRANSFER PORTAL AND LEAVING WHEELING UNIVERSITY. I STARTED IN 6 GAMES IN AN ABBREVIATED SPRING SCHEDULE. I HAVE AN UPDATED VIDEO OF MY SPRING SEASON AT WHEELING UNIVERSITY .
At the age of 13, I was given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of going to the Netherlands to partake in an international soccer trip involving games, training sessions, and learning about different elements of their culture through a camp at CBC High School. Despite this, it was the experience I had at the same camp a year prior that truly made me grow as a person and a player. After working hard all week, I was told that I was not invited to go on the trip, and I was a critiqued on areas of my game I felt strongly about. This forced me to realize that in life, you have to work for the things you want and nothing is simply handed out to you. I made it a goal for myself to get invited, and after a year of improvement, I achieved it. This experience at such a young age helped me come to a better understanding with the reality of life, and instilled a work ethic that I feel sets me apart.
I was extremely fortunate to be able to experience something like this, however I think that it was just the first building block to making me into the person and player I am today, and dream to become in the future. Through the preceding years of club and high school soccer, as well as events occurring socially and academically, I have learned the characteristics of a true teammate and a great leader, on and off the field. A few of these characteristics include a strong determination to improve myself and those around me,a tremendous visionary of the pitch, a technically sound player and an unrivaled passion for the game. In addition to outstanding performance inside the classroom, I believe I have the talent and character to perform just as well, if not better on the field for your team.
