When I was 4 years old, my parents decided that it would be good for me to play a sport. The one sport available for my age at the time was soccer. I instantly fell in love with the sport. I played in the same local league for the following years. While I was in the second grade, our coach asked the team who would like to play in the goal. No one on the team was interested and kept their hands down. Since no one else wanted the position, I took it. The very first shot I saved brought on a sensation I had never felt before, and I knew right then and there that I was a Goalkeeper.
Since maturing, I have learned to accept failure and I take pride in the way that I get up from these failures which makes me work even harder. I feel my best attribute is the intensity I bring to everything I'm involved in.
One thing I know is that I would be very excited to play on a college pitch, but I would be as equally excited to walk on a college campus and sit in a college classroom. My focus is setting goals, one of my top goals is to play college soccer. Thus, however is not my main goal. My main goal is to graduate with my bachelors degree and walk up on that stage at graduation and hold up my degree as high as I can reach. I will do anything to accomplish every goal I set in life, short term, long term, and that will never change.
