Personal Statement

Playing soccer has been my number one passion since I was 4 years old.  I set soccer related goals for myself.  I have met all of those goals to this point.  Playing soccer at the collegiate level while earning a degree is another goal I am motivated to achieve.

I feel I am a good candidate for a team because I am coachable.   I am also a team player.  My greatest strengths would be my ability to see the field, have composure in the midfield, and my work rate.

I am different from other recruits because I am equally focused on having outstanding character,  a strong commitment to my team, and achieving my academic goals.

  • Evaluated at St. Louis Boys Multi College ID Camp on 11/30/2019 by Coach Henry of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Skillset Overview Technical Abilities - 87 / 100 Passing - Creates opportunities for teammates with accurate passes. Rarely over or under hits the ball. Ball Control - Quality first touch in space, and controls the ball under pressure. Tactical Abilities - 87 / 100 Field Spacing - Highly active and involved in the attack. Gives good distance of support and passing angles for teammates. Reading The Game - Does well seeing the first level of pressure and making appropriate decision on the ball. Physical Abilities - 87 / 100 Speed - Great speed overall, in particular when running into space. Will be an important asset going forward. Agility - Showed good agility. Good body positioning and footwork helped you change directions quickly. Mental Abilities - 87 / 100 Coachable - Responds well to coaching. Asked good questions and seemed to enjoy the learning process. Team Player - Great team-first attitude. Was encouraging and supportive to teammates throughout camp. Coach's Comments A very coachable player, who seemed to gain more and more confidence as the day went on. He was very open to feedback, and managed to apply the little coaching points into the activities we were doing, which then translated into the games. Look to get on a strength program at school, that can help you work on your core strength and balance. Anticipate moments where you or your teammates may lose the ball and look to get pressure back on it right away. It may seem surprising, but aerial challenges are a massive part of college soccer, and it is important to be able to judge the flight of a ball and compete for position on your opponent, so you have the best chance of winning your individual battle.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
