I feel that I possess several key attributes that make me a great teammate and a coachable individual. I am there to pick up my teammates when things are not going our way as well as celebrate the wins. On and off the field I represent my-self with humility, passion, and respect in everything that I do. My current and past coaches have always labeled as a smart, passionate player who has a strong soccer IQ and takes direction well and applies it on the field.
On of my club coachs, Brandon Watermann provided his feedback and thoughts at the end of my previous club season.
#14 Luke Hogle – Luke has been a poster child for what team work and dedication mean to the game/me. His ability to work through injuries, think one step ahead, and win tackles vs. bigger/stronger/faster opponents shows what “leaving it all out there” means. Luke’s leadership abilities allow him to step up in tight games, bringing an energy that others feed off of. His ability to take direction, retain info, and apply almost immediately, makes him a coach’s dream. This past spring, his confidence on the ball has further increased, and at times has made extremely difficult things look rather simply. I’m chomping at the bit to see him back on the field for us next club season and am excited to see his many contributions to this team.
I have been elected as one of two captains the past three seasons by my club coach and teammates. At this point, I don’t want my soccer career to end with high school. I want to keep playing at a high competitive level through my college years and continue to be a great teammate and be a positive contributor on and off the field. I am looking for a program that will afford me the opportunity to continue playing competitive soccer while putting a strong focus on academics.
