Personal Statement
The CM/CDM position I play on the field reflects my approach to life — I thrive with responsibilities, can see opportunities where others can’t, and love setting others up for success just as much as myself.
From an early age, I’ve embraced that role on the field and have developed into a player with great soccer IQ, athleticism, technical prowess, composure, and the ability to make decisions and distribute quickly.
I also hate to lose. I know that’s not a terribly unique trait with most soccer players, but it’s not just about me. I hate for the team to lose. Whether I’m the one scoring the final goal, making the final pass, or stealing the ball well before it ever finds the net, I will give everything I can to make sure our team is the one celebrating when the last whistle blows.
It also extends well beyond the pitch. I strive to be the best in all things I do, academically and athletically. I conduct my life with a strong set of values, with respect, integrity, and responsibility at the forefront.
I currently attend Nixa High School where I have achieved a 4.0 GPA, 35 on the ACT, and athletic accolades throughout my first three years there. In college, my goal is to attend a respected academic institution where I can pursue rigorous athletic and intellectual endeavors.
I have started on varsity every year in high school so far, helping our team to a district title my sophomore year and earning all-district and all-conference honors my sophomore and junior years. On my club team, Carl Rose Soccer Academy United 04, I’ve been a longtime starting center midfielder and have helped our team win dozens of tournaments and leagues over the years, last year reaching the semifinals of the Missouri State Cup, only losing to a team that eventually went on to Nationals. We currently play in the first division of the Heartland league based in Kansas City.
