Stewart McDonald '24 Recruiting Profile

Thanks for visiting my profile. I am Stewart McDonald, class of 2024 at Logan-Rogersville in Southwest Missouri. I play for Sporting Springfield U19 team which competes in ECNL Heartland League. I am a strong, athletic versatile player, being utilized in almost every position on the field for both club and high school. I play ACM for high school. This past U19 club season I played DCM and moved into CB for the last several months. I am comfortable on the ball and love the attack but my athleticism, leadership, ability to stay calm, and win 50/50 balls also make me a great defender. I was honored to be the U19 nominee from Sporting Springfield for the national ECNL Conference Cup and played every minute of every game this past season. 

Working hard off the field is just as important, holding a 3.92 GPA, with intentions to continue my education and soccer at the collegiate level. I am currently undecided on my career path, but am considering degrees in business, marketing, construction management or architecture. I have been a varsity soccer starter all through high school earning All-Conference, District and Region awards my freshman and sophomore years and All-Conference, District (POY) and All-State my junior year as a midfielder. I also helped lead my team to Conference and District Championships for the first time in school history. My junior year I had 27 goals, 9 assists. 

Though soccer is my passion, I am a multi-sport athlete, competing in varsity basketball, golf as well as kick/punt for our football team. I am active in my church, and I serve as Student Council President and FCA leader in my school. Last year, I earned my USSF referee license. Other hobbies include all outdoor sports, camping, playing the guitar, riding a unicycle and hanging out with friends.
