Hello coaches.
My name is Will Mauritsen, and I am committed to maintaining excellence academically and on the field. I am currently taking three AP college level courses in my Junior year of high school and took AP Biology last year as a sophomore, as it is very important to me that I am challenged academically. I have played Varsity soccer since Freshman year and have recently been announced as Captain of my high school team. Leadership and Humility are some of the most well recognized qualities that my teammates and coaches identify me with. For example, I am always sure to finish first in all of the tryout runs, and then encourage and run with the last place runners all the way to the finish line. I play high school during the fall, club during the spring, futsal during the winter, camps during the summer, and train my skills, fitness, and strength in the off time. My club is ranked top 3 in Montana and I am the top goal scorer for my team. I have explosive quickness and fierce aggressiveness, allowing me to win every 50/50 ball. As previously stated by my club coach, my technical skills are spot on and play with an aggressive nature that he says cannot be taught. My left foot is almost just as good as my right, and I score lots of my goals with the non-dominant foot. I am pursuing a college with an excellent mechanical engineering program, and I would love the opportunity to play college soccer.
