Personal Statement
Soccer has always been a huge part of my life. I first started playing at the age of three and since a young age have dreamt of playing at the highest level possible.
In high school, I was a 3-year starting varsity player, and this year alone was awarded All-Conference (by unanimous vote), All-Area, and Capital High's Most Valuable Player. My sophomore and junior year also went well for me. Both years I received All-Conference Honorable Mention and our team placed 5th and 3rd at State, respectively.
My physical strengths are my first touch/footwork, dribbling, size/strength, and heading ability. I am also great at staying composed and reading the game. Since the season ended, I have been running, weight-lifting, and practicing soccer four to five days a week--determined to keep fit while I find the right college to play for.
I have always strived to be a great athlete. In addition to my daily training mentioned above, I also enjoy freestyle soccer, skiing, and scootering.
I understand that school is very important for my career and I have worked hard to achieve a 3.8 GPA with Honors, as well as taken multiple AP classes to challenge myself. In addition to my academic achievements, I have worked as a USSF Soccer Referee since 2013, thus demonstrating my leadership and commitment to fully understand the game; worked as an Usher/Concessionsist at Cinemark to gain real-world business skills; and have volunteered in different ways to give back to my community (traveling on a mission trip to Rocky Boy Indian Reservation; volunteering multiple times to make "kid packs" or work food drives to support Helena Food Share; serving as a group leader at ORLC Vacation Bible School; and serving as a camp counselor at Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp).
I play with passion and am devoted to all things that align with my goals and values. Offer me a spot on your team, and I'll show you commitment.
