Personal Statement

Since an early age, I have played a few different sports, but I found soccer to be the one that I enjoyed playing the most. What I enjoy about soccer is the team effort and comradery that develops through both the good and bad days on the field. Supporting and encouraging one another is what I feel is what each player has the duty to do and is what I strive to do for my team. I hope to continue my playing career in college, as this will allow me to not only continue to play a sport I very much enjoy, but will also help me integrate into a new family on campus, away from home. I hope to not only contribute to the team, but also learn from both the experienced coaches and players within the program to take my skills to the next level of competition. The goal is to not only play the sport I enjoy, it is also, hopefully, having the chance to give back by either coaching/volunteering at both the recreational and select levels to help grow the sport of soccer.

I have played on the Nebraska ODP (Olympic Develop Program) for two years in a row, traveling with the team competing at showcase tournaments.
