Personal Statement
Ever since I began to play the soccer, the joy of the sport has always been such an important and motivating part of my life. Since the beginning in my town's recreation leagues, I have always yearned to play at the next level. Originally, I never planned on playing goalkeeper, but after testing the position, I knew it would be my place on the pitch. My 9 years of experience and training in the net helped me improve my skills and rise to become a leader on my current teams, Seacoast Bedford NH NPL 03 and my high school varsity team for the fourth year in the 2020-2021 season.
During my second season of high school soccer, I broke my tibia in the last minutes of the semi-final conference game. This incident impacted not only me, but my teammates, as well. We ended up losing in the finals, but it left an important message in my head; my influence on my team is far greater than I previously thought. Off the pitch, in class and such, I am not as big of a driving force and leader in groups, but on the pitch, I am one of if not the most vocal and commanding players on the pitch. Over the next year and a half, I continued to improve and grow as a player as I worked myself back to where I was before my break.
I am excited to continue my academic and athletic careers at the college level and am eager to provide my skills and expertise to a college team.
