Personal Statement
My goal is to play high level college soccer in an atmosphere where I can not only improve myself, but help my teammates improve in the process. I've been told consistently that I stand out as a playmaker on the field. My field vision and creativity on the ball is what helps me find the pass through or see the space and know how to swiftly thread the ball through. On most of the teams I've played for, my coaches have told me that I have great foot skills and dribbling techniques. I believe that my foot skills among other things is what allows me to do so well and that comes from years of playing futsal. During he summer of 2018, I went to Colombia with the U.S. Youth National Futsal Team which was an incredible experience. Though it was a challenging tournament, I was happy with my showing and will hopefully be continuing with the team this year.
I will be a Senior going into this next school year and I am hoping to be a captain of my team. I have been described as a leader on and off the field by many of my peers and other leaders or captains I've had. I truly value strong leadership on a team and someone who leads by example. I started becoming interested in soccer after I watched Andrea Pirlo play a game with Juventus. I am not sure when it was but he made a beautiful pass that I will never forget. I looked up to him as an example of the type of player I want to be. I feel I have learned through soccer that I have a true passion for the sport and being an example for others to look up to. I hope to play for a team in college that will help to not only develop me as a player and a leader, but as a person.
