Personal Statement
I still remember being cut from my 7th grade middle school soccer team. I resisted the tears on the bus ride home and as soon as I stepped into my house, I started bawling my eyes out. At this point in my career I wasn’t looking to be super serious with soccer but being cut from that team and crying for hours showed just how passionate I was about the game. I ended up getting a chance to be a practice player and I worked so hard and proved the coach wrong. I ended up earning a spot on the team and lead the team in goals and assists. This story attributes to my never say die attitude and I will never, ever quit.
I am so thankful that my parents signed me up for soccer when I was 5 years old because this game has not only taught me numerous, valuable lessons but also became my passion. I've learned the value of hard work, togetherness, being part of a team, respect, mental toughness, belief and much more. I am looking for a program where I can learn and develop athletically as well as academically. I believe that I have the talent and skill level to play at a competitive college level. My talent, along with my leadership and mental toughness can help improve and have an immediate impact on your program!
