Personal Statement
Q: Tell coaches about your collegiate goals & aspirations.
It is my goal to play D1 soccer. I am motivated to play at the highest competition and among the best players at the college level. I also want to be a player at the highest level who can consistently compete as an individual talent that contributes to the team winning titles and competitions.
Q: What makes you a good candidate for the team? I am 100% adaptable and responsive to coaching & feedback and I have winning experience as an individual in a team concept. I have been and currently am involved in team soccer at the highest youth levels and have achieved winning success within a team unit in league and state/region tournament competitions. Through coach or trainer evaluations, I am placed and relied upon in key positions that directly contribute to the playing tactics of the team. I have high game intelligence with or without the ball and understand off-the-ball movements (vision) that are necessary in all areas of the field that give strategic advantage.
Q: What makes you different from other recruits in character? Athletics? And Academics?
I think I have always valued soccer as more than a game and I have taken extra actions in respect for the game (that I love). I have developed in youth soccer as a good team mate and follower to also be trusted with the responsibilities for team outcomes & motivations and hold leadership roles as a team captain. I have extensive knowledge of the principles of the game and the rules & regulations as a youth referee at the club levels. I have an individual desire for success and want to achieve the highest level of playing soccer. Athletics: I have an aptitude and vision to read game competition and make plays or create movements that produce positive outcomes of team tactics. I have the ability to distribute play in any direction and to utilize both feet effectively. I have a team focused playing style and desire so my contributions as an individual produce results for larger group and team success. Academics: I aspire to be a CPA by first earning my degree in accounting. With my workload in team commitments and in individual training I have developed the discipline and structure in my school studies to maintain a 3.7 GPA. I believe my academic focus is the key to my success in soccer and in my higher education goals by remaining organized with my school and personal schedule equally.
