Personal Statement
My name is Nicholas Skiadas and I graduate in 2021 from Gill St. Bernard School in New Jersey. I play Center back or Defensive Midfielder for my high school and Arsenal FC.
My change of schools from Warren Middle School to Gill St. Bernard’s School for 8th grade has changed my life in many ways. I’ve met new people and I have encountered new challenges and new opportunities to better my academic and athletic career.
I first became interested in soccer when my parents bought me a ball for Christmas around the age of 2 and then enrolled me in a soccer program at my preschool. I have been able to grow not just a player but also as a person by playing soccer because I have interacted with many different people and learned a lot more about the game and even life in general.
Some of my academic goals for high school is to maintain high GPA (3.50 Now). For college I wish to do the same. I have had to overcome changing to a new school and making new friends and trying new activities. One of my unique skills is that I am a good speaker and I am very well-spoken.
