Ever since I was a little kid, I always wanted to play soccer at the highest level. I trained hard every week to get better and to be at the top of my team. This hard work has paid off as I have played school level sports every year since 7th grade and played on the varsity team since sophomore year. In addition to this, for club soccer, I play at a higher age group, having played U-19 soccer since freshman year. Along with my soccer dream, I always aspired to go to college. Both of my parents were college-educated, so there was no doubt in my mind that I would eventually make it there. Currently, as part of my school program, I am already taking college courses at the local community college and will graduate with an associate's degree in general science. Apart from school and sports, I am a very active volunteer. I am passionate about volunteering because I love to help out and make a difference. As a part of Somerset Youth Council (YC) where I hold the co-chair position, I have been able to educate my community's youth about mental health, environmental issues, and many other pressing issues. Along with YC, I also volunteer at my local soup kitchen and 5k runs. I have a high work ethic and great organization skills and this has helped me to juggle school sports such as track and soccer along with my many other extracurricular activities. I have been able to balance all of my commitments with school, sports, and volunteering and this has made me a better person both on and off the field.
