Personal Statement
Having two older siblings that played soccer, I was constantly exposed to their games, practices, and specifically foot skills training at a very young age. This provided me with the opportunity to get the same training at that young age, which has helped shape the player and person that I am today. I learned discipline, dedication and hard work, which have helped me improve and achieve success on the pitch as well as in the classroom. These qualities are required every day as a student athlete during training and in school. Although I do not know yet what I plan to study in college, I hope to use soccer to help me get the best education possible. This will allow me to be prepared for a career after I have finished playing soccer.
I have a lot to offer to a college soccer program; I am definitely a soccer junkie and have a ball at my feet like many have a cell phone in their hand. I am a versatile player as I have played both center back and defensive/attacking mid most recently. I also have experience at outside back and forward. I have excellent vision, weight my passes well, extremely good foot skills and have been told I am very coachable. Winning four state championships has provided me with the knowledge of what it takes to play at a high level, in training and in games, as well as the teamwork required to be successful. With my work ethic and character, I know that I have what it takes to be a successful college player and believe that I can make an immediate impact on a team.
