Ryan O'Byrne '21 Recruiting Profile

      Hello, my name is Ryan O’Byrne. Playing soccer over they years has taught me many life long lessons. I’ve learned what it takes to be a leader, how to think quickly in tight situations, and how to cope with struggle. I’ve always competed at the highest level playing academy soccer at the age of 14 for World Class FC competing against top clubs around the world.

      Experiences like this have pushed me to where I am now where I have got the honor to play in Portugal, Italy, and Spain. One of the most memorable was when I was selected to play in Madrid, Spain with Generation Adidas International in which I represented the United States along with a group of hand picked players from around the country in the summer of 2019.

      My experience with soccer has also reflected the way in which I carry myself in the classroom. As a member of the National Honor Society at Don Bosco Prep High School, I have been selected to represent pillars of my school through character, scholarship, leadership, and service. I have always strived for the best grades possible and in the most challenging classes possible maintaining a 4.0 gpa. Through service I have also learned life long lessons assisting at soup kitchens, retirement homes and sports camps.

      Through high school I was blessed with the ability to be apart of a tight knit group of people that I was able to call brothers. Similarly, I am looking for a college team in which I can have a close and supportive bond with players around me all while competing at a high level.
