Collegiate soccer has been a dream of mine ever since I was in middle school. I aspire to make positive connections with my teammates and coaches because I know how beneficial those connections can be. Respect, responsibility, and the desire to give 100% in everything I do are the characteristics most important to me and are what I hold myself to. I am a hardworking student, and I know I can excel at anything I actively participate in.
I started to play soccer with my local travel team, playing a year up when I was 12, and my teammates were 13-14. From there I moved to FC Westchester, where we won the State Cup, Met Oval Academy, TSF Academy and Cedar Stars Academy (All USSF, and USDA Academy Teams). I was also invited to an NYCFC tryout and several practices with coach Gio Reyna (NYCFC) in 2017.
I would be a great addition to your program because as a player, I am very coachable, I pay attention to what coaches say and maintain focused on my role, and the goals of the team. One of the greatest challenges I have experienced is balancing school with soccer, in addition to keeping a part-time job. Having to make sacrifices is something I have learned throughout high school being a student-athlete playing at a high level. My father never went to college and this really motivates me to go and make the best out of it. I believe I am an extremely mature person and I have learned a lot from reflecting on my past experiences. I am proud and confident in my ability to positively handle myself in any challenge I might face in the future.
My love and passion for the game is the reason I will work hard every day in training to improve myself. I am excited to find a program that would be a good fit athletically and academically. I would like to make solid connections with my teammates and coaches as well as play high-quality soccer every day. I want to continue to grow as a person and player, and make the best out of my collegiate soccer experience.
