Personal Statement
I wake up every morning and the thoughts come as to how close I am of reaching one of many goals in life. This goal first consists attending college, and the second, playing soccer at the college level. Both my parents, or actually anyone in my family, has attended college. Nevermind, the fact that they have never had the chance to sweat a college jersey. This is one of the many reasons why both my mother and father migrated to the United States before I would be born. I cannot wait for the day I can proudly tell my parents where the new chapter of my life begins after graduating high school and where I have committed myself to study and hopefully play. This is the central reason as to why I am such a highly motivated individual in the classroom, and on and off the field.
Academically, I am an above average student with mostly A's and B's in every class. I am a respectful, honest student. Taking school serious was always an issue during my middle school years going into my sophomore year. However, this was the greatest mistake I have ever committed. I am proud to say I have changed this and will no longer step back into that path. In class, I will pay attention and seek for help if needed. Academically, there is nothing to reach for. There will always be a plethora of space for improvement. The books come first and always will.
I am a dedicated athlete who will step onto to field with high attitude and spirits. Mistakes will be made, but I only look to overcome them and learn from them. I enter the field with a positive attitude and seek no more than leaving the exact same way. Whether it is a practice session or a game, I will do, or at least try my very best every second I'm on that pitch. Giving up is not an option and never will be. I step onto the field looking for the successful outcomes and will do the impossible to reach my objective. As I step off, I leave hoping and aspiring myself that I can improve every mistake just done.
