Personal Statement
As an aspiring student-athelete I hope to advance my education and soccer career during my college experience. Playing and watching soccer at a very early age has helped me become a student of the game. After playing for the last 12 years of my life, being one of the top players on my team, I have learned how to use my leadership skills on and off the field. On my local club team I have been apart of 1 state championship, 4 time finalists, 2 WCDA championships, 1 NPL Mountain Division winner, and playing experience in Dallas Cup, PDT, and invites to Disney, Donosti Cup in Spain. I have been fortunate to be a part of the Rush Select National Team, and have played with them at PDT and Surf's Cup. I captained our team during these tournaments and helped lead the team to a 1-0 victory in the final played against the number 1 team in the country during PDT During High School soccer I have been apart of a state championship team and been in 2 semi-final games, 3 district championships, and 2 metro championships. I have been a starter all 3 years on varsity, sophomore year being a first-team all district player and as a team ranked as high as 12 in the country. This past year wining state was the main accomplishment, while scoring the game winning goal made it extra sweet. We finished this season ranked 21st in the country. As a student I hope to go to Medical or Business school, pursuing podiatry, accounting, and/or finance. Over the next 4 years in college I hope that I can leave a better man.
