I am Max Yashar and I grew up with soccer. My mom was born on the west-side of Germany and I have been playing ever since I was three years old. The first time my grandfather brought me to the local, grass field, I feel in love and I have never been able, or willing, the escape that passion for the rest of my life. The control, precision and beauty that goes into this sport caught me and I love being able to control the game with my technique. Whether that means, stringing passes together, taking on defenders, or beautifully curled finishes into the bottom corners, I have fallen in love with every asset of the game. I have been training five days a week every week ever since I turned 8 years old and in my free time, I look for more time to head down to the pier and play with my friends. Over the years, I have developed into a creative player with many technical strengths. I am a strong passer, from short or long distances, can take on defenders, and most importantly, have a strong feel for the game. I have played for Academies such as Met Oval and Manhattan Soccer Club and have been selected to programs such as RDS and ODP. In my summers, I go train in high level camps in Germany and find free times to perfect my craft. Academically, I struggled a little towards the beginning of high school but was able to adapt and adjust according to my difficulties and have steadily improved over the course of these 4 years. I have a relatively strong SAT score at 1360 but I am looking to improve that score in August to potentially a mid 1400.
