    Furthering my education in the field of engineering has been a goal of mine since entering ninth grade. As a senior, I have been given the opportunity to attend the New Visions Engineering Program at BOCES. My enrollment in this program has solidified my desire to study civil engineering in college.

    Soccer has always been my passion but I did not think I would be able to play at the collegiate level and study civil engineering. As I have been meeting with college representatives I have realized playing soccer is an option. I would like to pursue the opportunity in college to be a student athlete. My parents have both played at the collegiate level, my mother playing soccer and my father playing football. I enjoy listening to their stories and memories of their experiences. My parents are highly encouraging me to continue to play soccer at the collegiate level
