Samuel Greenberg '26 Recruiting Profile

I started playing soccer when I was four and I’ve never stopped. I have always loved the game since the first time I touched a soccer ball, and I knew I wanted to play when I was older. One of the things that motivates me most to continue pursuing my dream of playing soccer is the drive to play at the highest level, to achieve what I see professional players doing when I watch games.  I’m also motivated and supported by my dad - he played soccer for his whole life until college and in adult leagues and he motivates me to work as hard as I can to reach the next level of soccer. I see through him that soccer can be part of my life forever.

I believe that I would be a great influence on your program because of my athletic, educational, and leadership qualities. Athletically I have strived in my position to excel both individually and as a team player.  I put in the hours of training to be prepared physically and mentally. I work to be a leader and be trusted on my teams, and I believe I would be able to add a lot of skill and talent to your program. I strive for successful grades in school and always look to push myself academically, including taking advanced courses when I have the opportunity. I also believe that with the leadership qualities I possess I could bring a very good leadership aspect to your program.  Those qualities are a focus on making good decisions and being accountable for them, being a trusted member of a team, and working to inspire those around me in the same way that I have been inspired and motivated by my dad and by the great coaches, trainers, and teachers I’ve worked with.

My goals are to be successful in school and in soccer to perform at the highest level. I want to find a college that fits me academically and competitively and I want to play at the D1 level.  I will continue to work as hard as I can to reach these goals.
