Personal Statement
My first year on my Homeschool Varsity team was a struggle. I had always been the best player on my club team up to that point, but that season I was totally outclassed by many of my teammates. I realized that if I wanted to compete at the highest level, I would have to train physically, psychologically, and technically on my own outside of just team practice. I learned to plan and manage my time effectively to improve my performance on the pitch and in my everyday life.
I began playing soccer when I was three, and my love of the game grew from there. My goal in college is to achieve excellent grades, get my four-year degree, and playing the sport that I love. I am coachable, I am passionate, and most importantly I have a positive spirit. I encourage my teammates no matter what the scoreboard says. I am a team player on and off the field, and I am sure that I would make a great addition to your college soccer team.
