Being able to travel to and play in Argentina, England, and Scotland against professional academies before my sophomore year were great experiences and achievements. I grew a lot athletically, playing against top class academies such as Liverpool, Reading, Independiente, Racing, Argentinos Juniors, and Bamfield, but I also gained a lot of character by being put in the same scenario as professional players by staying at the Bamfield campus in Argentina and staying and training in St. George’s Park where the England national team stays and trains. These experiences helped me grow as a person, because it improved my professionalism significantly by having to live up to the likes of the England national team, and as a player, because I was competing against players who were aiming to become professional players at the highest levels in Europe and South America.
Being able to have the experience of playing in Europe and South America helps me strive to improve the level and style of play at my club team at home. I believe that these experiences combined with my academic achievements allow me to not only compete at the highest level, but make an impact.
