Colin McCarthy '18 Recruiting Profile

I have gone to a strong academic HS.  87% of 2017 class enrolled in college.  Ranked 26th out of 421 public school districts in upstate New York.

I am lucky to have played on the Greater Binghamton FC travel team under Binghamton University's Head Assistant Coach Tommy Moon this past year as a Center Back. This past June, our team won the New York West State Cup; where I started and played every minute. During the Spring '17 season we also played in the Eastern Regional League as well as the New York West Thruway League.

I am currently playing on Vestal High School's Varsity Team, as a starting Center Back under the guidance of Coach Dave Barr. We are undefeated and are working hard with an eye on the Section IX Title and hopefully a chance at the state tournament.   Our HS soccer team was last years section champs.

I am a hard working, stay at home, crisp setup passer, with shut down defensive skills.  I am team oriented and expect to represent my team with dogged determination for team success. 

I plan to use this tough and challenging academic and soccer background to be successful in college.
