My name is Lucas Mann. I am smart and hardworking and I love playing the game of soccer. I am very competitive and I will work as hard as possible to be the best I can be at anything.
I always want to take my game to higher levels, and have shown this by my commitment to club and high school soccer. I made the Varsity team as a freshman, and have had the opportunity to play against some great competition in high school and in tournaments like Kansas State Cup, Midwest Regional Cup, Dallas Cup and Surf Cup.
It doesn’t matter if I win or lose, I’m always thinking about what I can improve on after the game. I look for feedback from coaches and other players to help me get better after every practice and every game. The team needs each of us to work together for a common goal, and years playing club soccer has taught me the importance of trust and teamwork. This was especially important when I moved from Kansas City to North Carolina. I had to join new teams and make new connections with coaches and friends.
I pride myself on not being a selfish player and putting the team above myself. I am very committed to my school work as well. I have always been a dedicated student who shoots to be the best that I can be, not only on the field but also in the classroom.
