Personal Statement
Born to a poverty-stricken family, I know what it means to work hard. A phrase that is always echoed in the household, is that talent is not enough. Nothing is ever given to you and nothing is truly free. Which is why you always work hard to get what you want and always strive to do your best. That is why in both, academics and athletics, I am fully committed to both and I give it my all.
Currently, I am a dual enrolled student at Central Piedmont Community College. When I graduate, I plan to pursue a Bachelor's Degree at a four-year university. After I obtain my undergraduate degree, I plan to attend Law school and continue studying political science. Practicing law has been a lifelong goal of mine and I feel that it is the best way for me to make a meaningful impact and contribution to my community. The idea of being able to create policies, create and implement change, and contribute something to society at large, fueled me to continue to achieve up until this point and to continue striving forward. Ultimately, I see myself serving the public as an elected official in some capacity.
I believe that I am a good candidate for any team. All my life, I have always been a lethal attacker. From the time I was playing recreational at the YMCA, to playing club and High School soccer, I have always been a dominant player whenever I stepped on the field. What separates me from other recruits is that my mentality is stronger. I never give up when the moment gets rough and I always bring my best performance. I understand what it takes to be the best and I am willing to go that far to ensure that I bring success to any team I am a part of. I thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope I can be considered for your soccer program.
