Personal Statement
My name is Darone Boone I am a Senior at North Gaston High School. I have played on varsity all 4 years of high school. I also play club soccer for SGCSA Flames. My main position is center defense but I can also play any other defensive position and attacking mid or forward.
My plans are to play college soccer where ever I am given the opportunity to play and be one of the best players on and off the field. I want to major in Psychology and become a Developmental Psychologist. I am hard worker on the field and in the classroom. I am always trying to improve myself. I go to speed training twice a week to improve my running form and increase my speed. My speed trainer is a retired NFL Player. I've been going to him for about 3 years now and my speed and form has increased tremendously.
What makes me different than other players is that I am usually slightly smaller than the ideal Defender but I've always been able to contend with everyone just as well. As a Freshman playing varsity everyone else was a lot bigger than me but that didn't stop me from playing them just as hard as anyone else. This year I was team captain for North Gaston Men's Soccer Team. I strived to be a good leader and role model on the field and encourage my teammates to play to the best of their abilities.
