My name is Robert (Robbie) Simpson, I am a 5’-10”, 137 lb. rising junior at Western Alamance High School. I started playing soccer when I was three years old, ever since then it has been a continued passion of mine. I got interested in playing club soccer almost as soon as I began playing recreational soccer, my coach saw great potential in me and recommended I try out for a team. Since I was six years old I’ve been receiving professional coaching from the best coaches at the best clubs in North Carolina. Coaches tell me that with my athleticism, speed, skills and mind for the game, they are comfortable playing me in any position on the pitch. My goals in the future are to continue to improve my skills by working closely with coaches and teammates. No matter which college I choose my aspiration is to be the best student I can be and continue to learn all I can from my teachers. Education is very important to me as I know that this will carry me to my professional career as an engineer. My teachers and coaches often speak very highly of me and grant me leadership positions. I have been captain for three different teams and a student council representative at my middle school. I have also been a mentor to the son of my math teacher my 8th grade year. My many aspirations can be summed up in one phrase: lead by example.
