Devin Gutierrez '22 Recruiting Profile

    Hello my name is Devin Gutierrez, I’m a senior at Forestview Highschool located in Gastonia , NC. I’m 5’11 155 lb. I play left-mid and striker although I can be a versatile player I can play almost any position I can get the opportunity to play in. My freshman season I played JV for my team I scored 3 goals that season, this year I’ll be playing Varsity as of right now we’re only having workouts. But for now my club team which I play for SGCSA we‘ve already had 3 games and we’ve been continuously practicing and working hard on and off the field. I feel like I have the skill and academic standards to play in a tier of soccer. 

    My academics that are standing right now my GPA is looking like at 2.9 out of a 4.0. I know its not the best but I’m pushi myself to get better and acknowledge that by me being good at the sport I play doesn’t mean I can’t forget about school. This year has been my toughest year of highschool because of the pandemic it‘s brung me down, but I dont let myself fall into a little mindset that brings negative vibes.

     I am looking for a very challening school both academically and athletically. I get along with everyone and I want to keep all my teammates motivated and in a good mood while on the field.
