Personal Statement
I won state championships my freshman and junior years and was runner up my sophomore year. Even if I did not play much as a freshman, that year I learned the value of hard work and perseverance, to put my team first and to support and encourage my teammates. That valuable lesson helped me in the following two years to be an example and an encouragement to my teammates as my role in the team increased significantly.
Soccer has been an integral part of my life since I was four. As the son of Romanian emigrants, I grew up watching the game videos and was mesmerized by Hagi and the national team that reached the quarter finals at World Cup in 1994. I would like to continue to enjoy playing the game for as long as I can while preparing for a career in the medical field. I am highly motivated, always striving to improve and develop academically and athletically. I am very teachable and I learned that by serving the team as best as I can on and off the field is how I want to reach my full potential as a soccer player.
