Personal Statement
My name is Collin and I bring a lot of energy and positive attitude to my soccer teams. I know the game of soccer very well considering I have been playing since I was 4 years old. I started in Germany while my father was stationed overseas. I have played for school teams, travels teams, and 3v3 teams throughout my time playing. My goal every time I step on to the pitch is to give everything I have and be a team player and a leader. I am constantly searching for ways to improve and hone in on my skills and techniques. Over the many years I’ve been playing soccer, one of my favorite highlights has been mentoring the newer players and helping them advance to the next level as well as beating the team that our school had not beat in seven years. I’ve learned how to adjust to the different teams and coaching styles and adapt to meet the coaching expectations over the years. I am very open minded when it comes to choosing a college. The size and location of the institution doesn’t really matter, but the most important thing for me is to continue to challenge myself both academically and athletically and continue to grow as a player both on and off the field. I believe I can make a positive impact both physically and mentally on any team I play for.
