Personal Statement
Tell coaches about your collegiate goals and aspirations?
I plan to play soccer in college and if given the chance, I would also love to go pro and play with some professional teams later down the road. Soccer is my passion; however, the ability to solve and cure a problem or construct a type of building or helpful technology both stick out to me as well. I would love to both pursue my athletic dream while completing my childhood dream at the same time. I want to play at a highly competitive school to make myself get better by playing with the best of the best. I have been playing at a highly competitive soccer division in high school which has only achieved the goal of making me a better player and person. Soccer is a wonderful sport which I hope to stay with a very long time, and I hope to take a big step by competing at the professional level.
What makes you a good candidate for their team?
I have been a captain and fatherly figure on my team for quite some time. Many times I would stay after practice just to help someone on finishing or even help the keeper do some goal kicks. I am fast and hard working, no matter what happens to me I will never give up and even if I am the best on the team or the state I still strive to make myself better. Playing the number 9 for my team and being ready to always listen to someone's advice/criticism no matter who it comes from is an amazing quality because it means I can always adapt and improve on myself.
What makes you different from other recruits in character, athletics and academics?
I will do anything for my team in order to win at the end of the day, even if it means I need to take myself off of the field because I am not performing well enough or running a hundred yard sprint back to defense to help us recover the ball. I was recently rewarded all state, all region and all conference and co conference player of the year and have finished the season at 22 goals and 10 assists in one of the hardest divisions in North Carolina. I have also been selected for the All Fall Mid Atlantic Region team which no one from Leesville has ever done before! Our team have also won conference over the past few years. I am also sitting at a 4.25 cumulative weighted GPA with multiple offers from some amazing schools!
