I grew up in Sanford, North Carolina but I was born in Chapel Hill. I started playing soccer at the age of four. I have just been attached to soccer ever since my father introduced it to me. When I was about eleven years old I won the state games with a club here. I was a middle school starter and captain. I love being a leader on a team. I love helping my teammates and helping the whole team to get where we need to be. My freshman year in high-school was such a memorable year. I came out late to the season because I was away. The coach let me try out and then I was put onto the junior varsity soccer team. Throughout the season I became a starter then ended up as the top goal scorer and I got moved up to the varsity team for conference tournament and state playoffs. We made it the furthest the school has ever gotten which was the fourth round. Making history was amazing and still is thinking about it. Now my coach has told me that I have been the most improved player. Hearing those things just make me want it even more. I am ready to keep giving out my best. My grandma is my biggest inspiration. She was my best-friend and now I’m ready to do this mission for her. I have two other brothers, one older and one younger. My parents are no longer together but I know they will be supporting me throughout my journey. Many problems went on but those problems would only make me stronger. I am ready to take the next step of my life. I know I can push my self to the limits I have to. In order to reach my goals and be successful in my education as well I have to be ready for the unexpected. Soccer is a passion for me and always will be. I’m willing to do all I can so I can follow my dreams. I have never wanted anything as much as this. I’m thankful for this opportunity to help me reach my next step. I’m ready for any challenge.
